I’ve always been fascinated with training. In 4th grade I secured a set of dumbbells despite my mother’s protest that it would stunt my growth. Five feet, eleven inches… We did OK, Mom. Despite my love for the weights it wasn’t until ten years ago that I got serious about fitness. As I began to learn the principles of strength training and body composition, I was amazed at how uninformed I had been. The lesson still resonates with me. If someone with a B.S. in Physics who had always been into pumping iron was clueless about this stuff, then most people are likely in the same boat. Over the past eight years I’ve trained in the areas of bodybuilding, strength, conditioning, yoga, strongman, olympic lifting, and Crossfit. I am passionate about empowering people to reach their goals and transform their lives.
