I wonder if you agreed with me that intermittent fasting is an easy win. Skipping breakfast isn't so hard. Most of us are pretty busy in the morning, so not worrying about eating is kind of nice. Plus, I love the feeling that my body is leaning out for a couple of hours every morning. Let's have a few more easy wins...
Coffee It feels like a sin, yet it's good for you. How many things can you say that about? Not many. Coffee reduces your risk of diabetes, Parkinson's, and Alzheimers. People who drink coffee are less likely to be depressed, and coffee delivers a potent dose of antioxidants. To maximize the health benefit, learn to drink it black. You can do it. I used to be Mr. Cream & Sugar, but I weaned myself off of the white devils, and now I actually prefer it black. The latest research says the more the better as long as you don't get the jitters. So drink up!
Nuts These should be your go-to snack. Nuts contain the holy trinity - protein, fat, and fiber. That combination of macronutrients makes for a long-lasting, satiating treat. The fat is predominantly of the monounsaturated variety, so it's good for your heart. Nuts are very portable, too. Throw a handful into a ziplock bag, and you're good to go. All those nutrition bars out there are trying really hard to be like nuts. Why not just go with the real thing?
